In today's episode we are talking all about confidence and how you can have it but let's get something clear...

There's no "end goal" with confidence, it's something you must be continuously working towards.

Now that's out of the way let's get into episode two of The Modelling Confidence Podcast, and because I'm all about helping you learn how to model your confidence I wanted to create this episode so you can go out into the world modelling your confidence.

Confidence can mean different things to different people but to me confidence is a feeling that you have. It's something that you may feel that you either have or you don't have but as I mentioned earlier, confidence is not something you are born with.

Confidence is something that you can work towards having and building upon.

Confidence comes when you feel like you know who you are and you're content with that. It's about feeling happy, fulfilled and full accepting of your mind, body and spirit.

A lot of confidence comes from not only your physical appearance but also your mental state, how you're fuelling your mind, to learn, develop and grow.

Knowing what you have to offer

Knowing your strengths and weaknesses and owning them is going to allow you to become more confident. If you're a curvy girl, ROCK THAT! If you're thin, ROCK THAT! If you dropped out of high school, or you went to school and studied medicine, it doesn't matter, what matters is how you feel about yourself and how you rock who you are.

Find your thing, the thing that you're passionate about the things that is going to fuel your passion so much that you don't care what others have to say about you.

People always ask me, how do I find that thing? I'm going to explain to you how you can become confident and find your thing, with three key tools.

1. Time

Despite what a lot of people think, you're not just born with confidence. Which can be hard to believe if you don't have confidence.

You probably have someone you look up to and think "I wish I could be as confident as her but I'm shy..." These conversation you have with yourself HAVE TO STOP. While you're telling yourself you're shy, how are you supposed to become confident?

Simple answer is, you wont.

That woman wasn't born confident, she works on it every day. Putting herself outside her comfort zone and try new and exciting (sometimes scary) things.

You have to give yourself time to do the same.

2. Experiences

Continuing on from my last point, you need to give yourself time so that you are trying different things and going through different experiences.

Experiences that you're going to learn from (good or bad) is what's going to over time build your confidence. I say bad because you will go through a lot of unpleasant experiences in life, some you may see as "failures" but what you need to do is look for the positives.

Look for the light at the end of the tunnel because there is no such thing as failures in life, there are only learnings.

Give yourself time so that you can experience what life has to offer you.

3. Effort

The third tool for building your confidence is effort. I'll say it again for the people in the back, EFFORT!

You're not going to just wake up one more with a whole heap of confidence. You have to try different things and put yourself out there because no one became confident from staying in their comfort zone.

You have to leave you comfortable bubble because that's not where you confidence will grow.

Confidence takes effort, it's not easy but it's worth it. Going to the event, speaking to people will help you learn and grow which in turn, you guessed it, will build your confidence.

These are the three tools I want you to keep in mind when you're working on your confidence because they're also going to help you with your self-esteem, your self-love and self-worth because they're all intertwined.

Don't get me wrong I feel you, I see you and I hear you when you say some people are more naturally confident than others. I've always been quite outgoing and there are some people that are a bit more reserved but don't think because you've always been a certain way you can't change that, because you can.

If you give yourself time to have life experiences whilst putting in the effort you will slowly but surely start to build your confidence and whatever it is you want to build upon.
